Proposal for a new self-build, sustainable woodland cabin
We have been commissioned to replace an existing cabin located in a wood. The cabin is a multi-purpose space which needs to respond to various social requirements. The cabin has been designed and orientated to provide shelter whilst maximising solar gain and providing views to the outside. We are proposing to use only locally sourced materials, including softwood timber that was grown, cut down and milled by the client. It is intended as a self build project to be erected in ten days.
